Bahria University Islamabad – 23rd Convocation

The annual graduation ceremony is a day devoted to celebrating an important point in students’ lives. Bahria University successfully conducted its 23rd convocation ceremony in Islamabad campus on 31st December for the department of humanities and social sciences.

This was a day dedicated to not only students but also their parents for raising such shinning stars. This ceremony for the graduates of spring 2019 was held in Ibn khuldoom auditorium, Bahria University Islamabad Campus.

The ceremony started with a warm welcome address by Rear
Admiral Naveed Ahmed Rizvi HI(M) DG BUIC who was esteemed to welcome the dignitaries, parents, students, and faculty members.The dignitaries on the dais were Chief Guest & Speaker: Rear Admiral Habib Ur Rehman HI(M), Rear Admiral(R) Naveed Ahmed Rizvi and Registrar Bahria University Islamabad Campus.

Students were anxiously waiting for the ceremony to start so they could hold the degrees they had waited all their lives for. The speech was followed by prize distribution ceremony in which the Chief Guest distributed the certificated among the graduates and then the distinction holders were
awarded with medals.

Parent’s eyes sparked with pride and they were overwhelmed with joy.
The PhD holder, Ghulam Ali Mirza told BU tribune; by the grace of Almighty Allah, prayers of my parents and, with guidance of my brilliant teachers I have reached this point in my life.  He dedicated this degree to his parents, teachers and said that it would not have been possible without their abundant guidance.

The parents of another student, Mahrona khattak (Gold medalist) in BS CS said that, “This success of our daughter is because of her hard work and struggle. We are very proud of her and we wish and pray for her success in future”.
The graduation Ceremony ended but it left its impact in life of those who became a part of it.

Ceremonies like such are sure to inspire the students to achieve great things. 120 students were awarded with the degree. Unfortunately 428 students could not make it and were not able to receive their degrees in person from the worthy chief guest. In the end, DG BUIC awarded the convocation
souvenir to the honorable Chief Guest Rear Admiral (R) Habib Ur Rehman addressed the gathering  and congratulated them.
