Bahria University Islamabad Campus – 24th Convocation 2022

Bahria University Islamabad Campus held its 24th Convocation today at the Ibn e Khuldon Auditorium, Islamabad.

Rector Bahria University Vice Admiral (R) Kaleem Shaukat HI (M) awarded the degrees to the graduating students of Ph.D, MPhil, Masters and Undergraduate programs.

Nine hundred seventy (970) degrees were conferred to the Undergraduate and Graduate students of Management Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Computer Sciences, Law, Earth and Environmental, Electrical Engineering and Software Engineering Departments.

Seventy Gold and 62 Silver medals were awarded to students who achieved top positions in their respective programs.

Speaking on the occasion, Rector Bahria University Vice Admiral (R) Kaleem Shaukat stated “Today marks the culmination of years of hard work, determination, and recognition of individual and collective efforts. Therefore, I would like to offer heartiest congratulations to all graduates upon completion of their degree programs.”

He also congratulated the teachers and parents whose efforts and continuous support he said, had played a key role in making this journey to success possible.

To those who earned the Gold and Silver medals for their academic performance, the Rector said “Your academic distinctions are testament to the fact that if you work hard with integrity and sincerity you can achieve your dreams, therefore hold on to the principles as there are so many more achievements waiting for you”.

It is now time for you to reflect and be a good ambassador of the University and this country. Face the world with professionalism and the sense of responsibility inculcated in you by your alma mater he said.

 

Earlier welcoming the participants of the convocation the Director General, Islamabad Rear Admiral Naveed Ahmed Rizvi HI(M) said “Our vision is to prepare our students for the national as well as international market and to become citizens of the world.”

We have gone all out for improvement in academic infrastructure, faculty development and revision of curriculum, in sync with global market trends he said. Upgradation of existing labs in addition to formal education, a significant amount of effort is made towards the overall grooming of students to make them useful citizens, he said.

“To make out students internationally competitive, Bahria University has established linkages with 33 foreign universities. These arrangements afford numerous academic benefits such as joint research, student exchange, credit transfer and fee discounts, said, Rear Admiral Naveed Ahmed. END
